Meet Vinde! This beautiful girl is approximately 4.5 years old. Vinde came from a life in a quiet apartment with one owner. She is a gentle soul and has proven her ability to adapt to new situations with time and patience. Vinde has adjusted to living with other dogs and two older children. She loves to play fetch and go for walks, but is content spending the most of her day relaxing and cuddling. Vinde is food motivated and loves having toys to chew on. She is a very loyal companion who will form a strong bond with anyone willing to be loving and patient with her. Vinde is a mixed breed, possibly Rottweiler / Shepherd weighing about 70-pounds. Bear

More About Bear

Bear

Komondor / Shepherd

  • Sex: M
  • Estimated Age: 2 Years
  • Weight: Large
  • Color: Grey / White
  • Status: Available

This big, fluffy, happy, too-cute-for-words boy is Bear. He is a Komondor / Shepherd Mix and about two years old. Weighing in at 95 pounds, he is most definitely not a purse dog. But that's okay--Bear loves car rides, so you don't need him in your purse!
In case you were wondering (you know you were!), Bear is quite the hugger and cuddler once he knows and trusts you, and will gladly join you on the bed and couch for some time with his human. Because he doesn't know his own size, he also strongly believes he is a lap dog, which is very cute, but maybe not so comfortable for the person whose lap he is on. Bear also expects belly rubs on occasion, so don't be surprised when he flops onto his back as a super subtle hint.
Bear has very good house manners and will wait quietly in his room while you're gone. He's housetrained, too!
Bear limps a little because he suffered an injury to one of his back legs that wasn't properly treated, but he's all healed now and doesn't seem to be in any pain. It sure doesn't stop him from running and playing. After a slow and appropriate introduction, Bear and the dogs in his foster home are always down for a good romp and he sure as heck keeps up with them!
Stating the obvious here, but Bear is clearly adorable. Keep in mind that his breed mix will require routine grooming or his beautiful locks will get matted and make him feel awful. In addition to his grooming needs, Bear needs an adult-only home with a fenced yard and patient people who are willing to give Bear the time and space he needs to get comfortable. This guy hasn't had it easy and we want his next home to be perfect for him.

Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more information on Bear or visit http://ow.ly/mkbE50GKjMv to complete an online adoption application. Bear is in the Kansas City metro, but transport might be available to the right home.

His adoption fee is $225 & includes: Neuter, microchip, vaccines, deworming, and an offer of pet-healthcare insurance for 1-month.

More About Ace

Ace

Terrier, Staffordshire Bull / Mix

  • Sex: M
  • Estimated Age: 5-6 Years
  • Weight: 50 Pounds
  • Color: Apricot / White
  • Status: Available

Meet Ace! If there's a perfect dog, Ace might be it. One look at that goofy face and you know Ace loves life and has known a good one. This boy is extremely smart and willing to learn so training or retraining should be fairly easy with patience. He loves to sleep on beds, play fetch, tug, and to chew. He knows which items are for him and leaves other things alone. He loves snuggles and has a big bark. Ace gets along with his foster's two dogs, but seems he would also be comfortable being an only dog. He's not shown any food aggression when he's fed. He loves the rambunctious 11-year old boy in his foster home, and has no issues playing gently. He LOVES (We're not kidding!) chasing reflections and the robotic vacuum. He leaves a regular vacuum alone so go figure that one out. He is a complete gentleman during his bath and helps out by lifting his paws at the right time. He's fully potty trained with no accidents. Ace is 5-6 years young, a Staffordshire mix & weighs about 50-pounds.

More About Bijou

Bijou

Terrier, Staffordshire Bull / Mix

  • Sex: F
  • Estimated Age: 1 Year
  • Weight: 56 Pounds
  • Color: Black / White
  • Status: Available

Introducing Bijou! This gorgeous girl has had a kind of a rough start in life. She is a 56-pound Staffordshire Terrier Mix who is a little over a year old. Bijou came to us from KC Pet Project, after being picked up as a stray. She was quickly adopted out; however, through no fault of her own, she was returned after a short time due to her newly discovered medical condition. Bijou has a seizure disorder which is currently being controlled with medication twice a day. She has breakthrough seizures when she is over-stimulated, has a change in environment, or is otherwise overwhelmed. The key to Bijou's long term success will be continuing her medication regimen, maintaining a calm, peaceful environment, and recognizing her cues and triggers. Although she has only been in foster a short while, she is adjusting well. Bijou has begun playing with toys occasionally, and is interacting appropriately with her foster sibling. She ignores the cats that live in the home. Bijou is learning how to navigate the stairs and loves being outside. She will ring a bell when she wants to go out. Bijou is potty trained. She can sit on command, and is learning "shake" and "leave it". Bijou will go in the kennel with a little coaxing - treats do the trick. She prefers to be near her humans. She sleeps soundly through the night on a doggie bed on the floor where her humans sleep. Bijou is learning how to be loved and deserves to have a forever home where someone will love her unconditionally. Bijou was recently evaluated by a Veterinarian and her Labs looked good. It is believed her seizures are due to Epilepsy. We encourage you to consult with your Veterinarian if you are willing to give this girl her forever home.

Interested? Please visit https://dogsbydebin.com/adoption-application to complete our quick online adoption application. Bijou's adoption fee is $175 which includes: Spay, deworming, microchip, heartworm test, a month of her Phenobarbital, vaccines and an offer of pet healthcare for 30-days!

More About Bronx

Bronx

Terrier, Staffordshire Bull / Mix

  • Sex: M
  • Estimated Age: 2-3 Years
  • Weight: Medium
  • Color: Black / White
  • Status: Available

Meet Bronx! This medium-sized guy is as smart as they get. He is between 2-3 years old. Bronx is very people social! We are happy about this because he had a rough start at life. He has been hand picked by a trainer & has been put through obedience training & is said to aim to please & is a quick study. He is a handsome guy & is ready to learn what a cozy house feels like. If you're looking for a loyal, respectable companion, here he is! We guess him to be a Staffordshire Terrier or mix. Bronx lived with children & is said to do well with them. We are only accepting applications for Bronx with the following:
*Must have a privacy fence 6' or taller on all sides
*No neighboring dogs
*No children in the home under the age of 12

Bronx is not ok with other pets but great with people! He has a strong prey drive. Bronx was recently adopted to a family with young children & he does great with kids, but a child walked Bronx out front since they had no fence & Bronx proceeded to get loose when he saw a small dog running at large. Bronx needs an adopter that will make sure something like this never happens again. Bronx is truly a remarkable dog & needs to be set up to succeed.

Interested? Please visit https://dogsbydebin.com/adoption-application/ to complete our quick online adoption application. His adoption fee is $175 & includes: Neuter, microchip, vaccines, heartworm test, deworming, & an offer of pet-healthcare insurance for 1-month.
